Little introduction. I met Yisel while attending my junior college in Orlando. She was always so friendly and willing to help other students while working in the computer lab. I always knew that she was destined for greatness simply from her demeanor. Yisel was always smiling and always studying!
Yisel might not remember this but she motivated me to obtain an internship while attending my junior university. One day while on campus she mentioned to me all of the internship opportunities that our school offered students. That day I headed straight to the internship office and applied for my very first intern position. About a week later I was interning for 407 Oasis Magazine.

KrissyJ: What motivated you to obtain a position in the media?
Y.T.: Media has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved performing and I was extremely curious. That led me to take modeling and acting classes and it was through that experience that I realized how to combine those two characteristics: by working in the media. No matter what media you are working in, the underlying objective is to tell a story whether it be a news story, a segment about celebrity news, etc. I realized that I could use my curiosity to uncover and develop stories and through my love of performing I could convey those stories to an audience. From that point forward, I knew that this was what I wanted to do.
KrissyJ: How long have you been hosting on Telemundo?
Y.T.: I have been hosting Entre Nos on Telemundo Orlando for 3 years. As the host of Entre Nos, I research and develop stories mostly pertaining to entertainment news and local artists and events.
KrissyJ: In your opinion what is your best accomplishment thus far?
Y.T.: I believe my biggest accomplishment has been finding a medium through which I can disseminate information to the public. I believe that knowledge is power and that in order to evenly distribute power among our society, we have to have a constant cycle of information and knowledge sharing within our society. By being able to share information with an audience, I believe I am contributing to that cycle and in turn, I am empowering a group of people and that is something I am proud of.
KrissyJ: Who inspires you?
Y.T.: Great minds, my family and my friends inspire me and yes, that includes my friends on Facebook and Twitter! I have a great support system around me and they are always there when I need them.
KrissyJ: What celebrity/anchor or host/hostess would you love to work with?
Y.T.: You know who I love watching and hearing? Ryan Seacrest! That man has done it all. He is so dynamic and charismatic. He has created his empire, and I want to do the same. I want to prove to people that they can have whatever they want to have as long as they believe in themselves and they have a clear vision of what they want. When it comes to news, there are several anchors that I look up to. One of them being Maria Elena Salinas, she is the co-anchor of a newscast in Univision. She is one of the most recognized and influential Hispanic journalists in the United States. I love watching her because she truly loves news and that is reflected in every newscast that she hosts.
KrissyJ: Where do you see yourself in the next year?
Y.T.: In the next year, I see myself doing what I do now: telling stories to audiences. I am also working on a few projects and have several projects in mind which I hope to develop and grow within the next year.
KrissyJ: What advice do you have for others that want to work in the entertainment industry?
Y.T.: First and foremost, believe in yourself because if you do not, nobody will. Secondly, work hard to achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve. And third of all, do not give up! There will always be people who tell you that you cannot do something or make things sound impossible but the truth is that nothing is impossible because there are probably people already doing what you want to do and guess what? They made it somehow and so can you!
