Hello There Readers!

I know it’s been quite a while.  Well, a lot has happened within the past month. First and foremost, I am a GRADUATE!  AOWW!  (Diva Pose)  By the grace of God, I completed my Undergraduate Studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida!  GO BULLS!

It feels so good to know that I have completed that chapter of my life.  My time spent in Tampa was an amazing journey!  During my period of reflection, I realized that I have matured soOOo much over a span of just two years!  I met some amazing people in Tampa and will cherish my friends, professors, classmates, associates, and even my enemies for the rest of my life! (J/K; I don’t have enemies…at least I don’t think I do.) *shrugs*

After graduation, I had the opportunity to travel to New York.  I had a great time in NYC catching up with old friends, family, and networking.  I absolutely loved hopping on the metro and heading to the city.  If I ever decide to reside in New York again, I would definitely want to live on the West Side of 14th Street.  I may just sign up for NYU’s graduate program so that I can have an excuse to live there.

Of course, I took several pictures that will be up as soon as I get around to ’em.  The only dislike was the weather.  Florida sunshine has def spoiled me.  I left New York on the Saturday that I saw flurries.  That was the same day I realized that I love Florida’s weather (minus the hurricane season).   Idk, snow just doesn’t excite me anymore.

Anywho, I’m hoping that all of you are being productive with this NEW YEAR!  According to the Chinese calendar 2012 is “the year of the dragon.”   These means it is the year to excel!  My advice to you all is to remain focused on your goals, work daily towards living out your dreams, stay within your means (budget), and most importantly just be thankful for life!

One thing that I am working hard on is finding beauty in everything I.  My immunity has become strongly allergic to negativity.  I’ve become more meditative and reflective.  The only quote I want to live by is fully acknowledging that “Life is for LIVING!”

A sista is trying to live! Ya’ Feel Me?

Journey with me through this year; we have great postings in store.   Yes, WE!  HerTopic now has guest writers on the team!
