With the start of the new year I began to get more in tune with my health.  While I am by no means a health freak, I did begin to get really enthused about natural products.  By this i mean, if i can go into my garden or local  farmers market and find it, I will probably try it this year.

In doing research and through the advice of my parents, aunts, uncles, or older folk in general; I am learning that just about every plant has a health benefit.  Aside from herbs increasing the flavor of dishes, or being a great source of aroma therapy, they also have healing benefits.  This year one thing I began to do is tea drinking.  I remember as a kid my grandfather used to try to get me to drink tea every morning, but I never wanted to.  Now, by adding just a hint of honey, a daily cup of tea is my way of unwinding and relaxing after a long day.

For an energy boost I drink a peach flavored tea.  My favorite is Celestial Herbal Tea, the Country Peach Passion flavor.  The aroma Of peach tea helps to positively enhance my mood.  Peach tea is also said to be a great way to healthier looking skin.

I recently tried something new.  After visiting my aunt and uncle I came home with a bag of rosemary and sage.  I decided to try them together as a tea.  Rosemary and sage are very fragrant.  As I sipped on my tea I did some research and found out that both herbs are great antioxidants and help to prevent a lot of illnesses.

I plan on continuing to update you all about my natural healing and health improving products.  I’m sure I’m not the only lady out there that wants beautiful smooth skin and stronger immunity.  I know my brothers out there want the same too.

I also journal and write poetry during my me time.  I picked up this journal at Ross for less than $5 in January with a goal in mind to write more…

If you have any tea or natural tips for me feel free to share them in a comment.

Thanks for reading!
