When most people think of Fashion week the automatic assumption concludes photographers lined up along the street of Fashion Avenue in New York City. Or we think of photographers snapping away images of the trends parasailing through Bryant Park. While this is how most fashionistas dreamed of spending their night this past Thursday, bi-coastal babes like me had to make use of the fashionable festivities in their local cities.

Last week I was privileged to gain access to a private event held in Neiman Marcus at the Mall at Millenia of Orlando. Tons of local fashion lovers flocked to Neiman’s to partake in the festivities. The night was filled with free treats and champagne (Did you say free champagne girl? Yes, I did). To top it off, the attendees were astonished by a wonderful performance by the Orlando Ballet as well as a full fledged runway show.

As a media representative I managed to get a front row seat for the fashion show. Furs, leopard print heels, Aztec prints, hues of blue, and fifty shades of green are the popular trends for this Fall season. I also noticed that this year’s fashion is all about taking risk.

Don’t be afraid to mix a striped blazer with a polka-dot top. Purple and orange mixed with hunter green and dabbles of confidence can create an amazing ensemble. Try tailored fit pieces and a great pair of shoes…practically anything goes this season in fashion.

Have no fear, I will be providing weekly tips of how to create runway looks [on a budget]. For now, I welcome you to take a look at some of my favorite looks from the show.

Aside from my floral brooch my entire outfit is from my local thrift store. The look is at most $15 and looked like a million! BAM! Who is really bad??
