HerTopic: Favorite Quote?
Tia: I love quotes… it’s so hard to choose, but of course I have to go with Jay-Z bars…
“my one of a kind self
Get stoned every day like Jesus did
What he said, I said, has been said before
“Just keep doing your thing,” he said, say no more”
HerTopic: Favorite Meal or Restaurant?
Tia: I love Spanish food and Thai food.
HerTopic: East Coast? or West Coast?
Tia: East Coast for authentic people (they don’t make ‘em like us) and the West Coast for the weather! I do not like the snow! *laughs*
HerTopic: Facts! What do you do?
Tia: I am a Personal Trainer/Virtual Fitness Trainer and Inspirational Speaker.
HerTopic: What makes someone “So Ambitious?”

Tia: Great question!!! Anyone who is overcoming the odds and breaking barriers is ‘So Ambitious.” Also, anyone able to break free from generational curses is so ambitious. Life is already hard, but if you’re harder and never settle –that’s SO AMBITIOUS!!!
HerTopic: When did you know that you wanted to become a physical trainer?
Tia: I knew I wanted to become a Personal Trainer once I noticed the impact I had on people with my own personal transformation. I almost had a stroke and was weighing my highest of 210lbs when I was 20 years old. I invested in a Boxing Trainer as well as a Personal Trainer and lost 50lbs! I’ve never turned my back on fitness ever since. I may pig out during the holidays, but you get me. *Laughs*
HerTopic: What would you say is the first step to weight loss?
Tia: The mental commitment is the first step to weight loss. Committing to the process and rewiring your mind/relationship with food will take you further than anything.
HerTopic: Some of us are legit afraid of a physical trainer. What advice would you give to us?
Tia: People should be very afraid! *laughs* No, look at a Personal Trainer as your permanent spotter or therapist! We are here to make sure you accomplish your goals. Some days are not going to be pretty but overall you’re definitely going to leave each session feeling empowered.
HerTopic: Favorite workout?
Tia:My favorite workout hands down is Boxing!!!
HerTopic: I feel my best when…
Tia: I feel my best after I kill a crazy tough workout and when I eat right consistently.
HerTopic: How do you balance your business schedule with Motherhood?
Tia: Thank God for day care. Lia is in school and during her school hours I train. I also train virtually so she can be near me and witness her mom training people!!! I’ve been training people virtually since Lia was a few months old so that I can be there for her. It’s the best thing ever!!!
HerTopic: So many celebrities post pictures of themselves pregnant today and “snapped back” or in shape tomorrow. What is the tea on that? Is it even possible?
Tia: The tea is we can workout during our pregnancy and eat right… that’ll help more than anything! I don’t think snapping back “tomorrow” is possible, but then again NOTHING is impossible if we put our mind to it!!! We have to respect our bodies and the results will show. I just like to remind mommies and my clients … it’s not a sprint! It’s a marathon.
HerTopic: What are you most proud of?
Tia: I’m most proud of being a Mom, working out during my entire pregnancy, and giving birth NATURALLY! (No epidural… the pain was real!)
HerTopic: Wow, you go girl. A life hack we all should know is?
Tia: You can have excuses or results. You can’t have both…choose wisely!!!
HerTopic: Are you available for personal sessions? How can we book you?
Tia: Yes I am available for Personal Training sessions. Just message me and we will set up your initial session. The first one is on me!!! Email me here.
Tia also provides group fitness sessions to churches, employees, schools, you name it! If you’re looking for a dope, fun, educational and interactive workshop… She is your girl!! Email Tia, visit her Facebook page, or Instagram page to discuss goals, rates and dates.
